Thankyou for helping others understand. I am in Australia and have a happy 8 year old who lives and attends school as a transgender bundle. Thankyou for being brave.
I respect Chaz, these children who speak up for themselves, the parent of these children, and all the children and adults who live the live the lives they feel is right for themselves. It takes alot of courage…Everybody should have a chance to live the life they feel is right as long as it doesn’t pose a threat to another person. Keep your heads up.
This is a message for Jazz,
I watched all… i think all of your videos and think you are a very outgoing, fun spirited, enthusiastic girl who is BEAUTIFUL in every way and i wish i could get to know you cause i would enjoy being friends with you but you know you live in America and i live in Canada so…. ya but i would like to message you and mabey you could give me a number i could text to or something because i would like to talk to you more. I think you will grow up to be an …. Awesmazing mother cause you are very kind hearted person. I dont think…. actually let me correct myself… I know!!! There is nothing wrong with being a transgender and as long as you keep being the way you are it doesn’t matter at ALL what is between you legs, By the way my name is Cole, i am 13 and heading into grade 8 starting September 2013 and I hope you reply to my comment by mabey emailing me back at loonie49@hotmail.com Thanks,
Stay true , stay you ,stay beautiful and just Keep on Keeping on

[…] In “I am Jazz” by Jessica Herthel and Jazz Jennings, the story arc is straightforward — Jazz introduces herself, her favorite things and best friends, then tells us that she’s not quite like the other girls. “I have a girl brain but a boy. This is called transgender. I was born this way!” she explains before describing her and her family’s journey. The simple delivery of course makes this book a good mirror for trans kids or window for cis-gender ones, but beyond the subject of gender, it offers a entry into broader conversations about empathy.
